Say Do (Do What I Say)
We are quite familiar with this phrase “Do What I Say”. It has been echoed in our life from our teachers, parents so on .. We have strictly followed our teachers’ words which helped us to score good marks in exams back then. However, life has totally changed now. Our actions will be decided by ourselves rather than others’ opinion.
Are we really able to follow our own mind thoughts? I do think often, how I missed my planned task then I felt remorse for my carelessness for just a minute, and then I started to plan another activity yet I failed to follow those again.. Easily I will be distracted by various unnecessary thoughts.
From healthy foods to life decisions, everything I need to plan clearly but I couldn’t.
When professors or well-wishers’ talks and lectures motivate me to do certain kind of activities but easily it will be replaced by useless activities. In general, we could not blame mobile addiction. When we look into it deeper, our own complexity of thoughts pushes us towards various life desires which postpones our pre-planned tasks.
I feel that, lack of sincere commitment on our planned tasks lead us to leave our goals just like that. For example, I thought of writing a blog for the past two months. I even started blogging, but I do not do it regularly. Suddenly one day I realised that I haven't written a blog for a week, then I consoled myself that I can write Dairy which is better than Blog. But after two days I stopped writing dairy itself.
Finally I failed in both writing blog and diary but I didn't accept my mistake (procrastination). Even though I couldn't complete my task I tried to blame my virtual situation which is not actually real this taught me later that I could not accept myself as loser. Yet I am not sure to overcome my procrastination!
Blaming situation or external factors is not solutions for this. To succeed in our life we should be prepared both internally and externally which means we need to train ourselves to learn everyday and to refuse unnecessary desires or gratification. Actually I personally feel we are expecting the great results instantly at the end of the task like, if I watch a movie or eating Elite cake which gives instant happiness. It might be the reason to quit in the mid of the task.
I would say everyone has the experience like me. It is not about big things but just eating healthy foods excercise, reading books etc., and everything matters lots when we do it consistently.. I hope I will write my blog continuously. When teachers said "Do what I Say” we have tried to do.. Now let’s do what we say!!
